Every alchemical “Moon Sister” loves to create something on her atelier coffee breaks, so here I present two little glass creations that came to life during my ‘time out’ whilst working on the tiger beads project ๐Ÿ™‚

My first glass goddess pendant was created with the ankh in mind, and very quickly executed at the torch! … no hesitation allowed, as the molten glass demands one to sculpt with a certain assured fluidity that I know really has to be mastered over many years! So, a little mind over matter is required to keep one’s focus! But we all have to start somewhere, so I’m patient in my progress!

One of my virtual mentors is Lucio Bubacco, whose figurine work is just so amazing… ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

My first glass ‘ankh goddess’

I know I was born with a fire tornado inside me… keeping my passions aflame, and scorching charlatans and cobwebs on my life path! Looking up close, it seems my little glass ‘ankh goddess’ has one too!

Fire tornado!

And then there is always the cosmic serpent… no real deity who is worth their salt is without such a connection, and so my ‘ankh goddess’ must have hers!

This is my first glass serpent, which I’ll develop further during summer for hanging on a lariat-style pendant. Looks very cute I think!

Cosmic Serpent!

My Mayan day sign is the Serpent (Chicchan), so it explains why I rather like snakes ๐Ÿ™‚ Perhaps next I need a glass owl (representing my Mayan trecana sign, the Cib) to hang about in the serpent’s Tree of Life!

So many projects… I just hope I have time to do everything!!

Glass rods & twist stringers, brass marver and surgical tweezers

Glass rods used: The opaques โ€“ Pastel White (#1204),ย Ivory (#1264) and Dark Ivory (#1276) and; the transparents – Pale Amber (#1012), Medium Amber (#1014), Dark Amber (#1016) and Black (#1064), as well as Clear Special (#1006).

As always dear lady, you made some very beautiful peaces of art here! Keep up the good vibes and enjoy all beauty in life. Your positive energy shines through your artwork as well, great to feel that.

    Big hug!

    • Thanks so much for your appraisal Sven! It is always nice to know someone felt happier for something I created, however momentary! I have more to post but time ticks for my coming trip now so my creations will have to wait ๐Ÿ™‚
