Valentine’s 2014 was a night to remember for an extreme contrast of wonderfulness and absolute agony…!

Chaperoned in style by our Belgian friends, M and B, we warmed up our night with cocktails at L’Archiduc and a funky little bar across the street. Our midnight destination was La Tentation to see Banbury Cross performing and she was radiant in her Monroe-esque dancing!

Although we arrived late at the event we saw Banbury Cross, and then enjoyed a little dancing together. The dancefloor felt like an ice-rink under my heels due to it being very wet from spilt booze and crushed plastic glasses – myself and JK were wearing 4″ heels! B and M enjoyed twirling us around like whirling dervishes, but at some point I stopped for my own safety πŸ™‚ Time to head to the photography booth to capture some sweet memories of our costumes and chaperones!

And after the photoshoot, my sister’s heels skated her head first into a whole world of pain :-/

But thanks to a combination of crushed ice, a speedy taxi driver with savvy knowledge of hospital waiting queues, and M and B raising JK’s spirit outside the x-ray department and translating medical French, I managed to orchestrate madness to sanity!!

It was a traumatic end to a lovely night, but an interesting test of how we can come together to support each other πŸ™‚

And so, as B later commented, this will be a Valentine’s to remember!

I hope your sister is fine now !

    • Ciao E! JK’s still recovering and having x-rays to check for fractures (not immediately ruled out due to the swelling and blood…). She’s back in London now though, looking forward to the next party… that won’t be for some time just yet (or at least not wearing the high heels!). x

Splendid eve ma soeur even with the fall πŸ˜‰ You looked gorgeous as always. Will be partying again quicker than I can fall XxX

    • πŸ™‚ You’re one of the toughest party-goers I know, so “vive la danse!”
Loved the make-up you did for both of us too… hope we can do it justice again!

      • Jude says:

Yes that make up was so nice – thanks to Tanya the MUA really – she’s a gem – I have the next make-up lined up – Middle Eastern look so can’t wait to try that on you too πŸ˜‰

Oh Jude, so sorry about the bad news I read on FB…I hope everything will work just fine and you’ll be up on a stage soon enough!!!!
Fingers crossed for the surgery and plenty of good thoughts for a fast recovery!

      Hugs and kisses!

      • Thanks G πŸ™‚ I just chatted with Jude on Skype and passed on your message πŸ™‚ The fractured cheekbone was always a strong possibility (she had the telltale violent blue-red bruise under her eye socket just after she’d fallen, but with the increased swelling and bleeding this was not clear on the 1st x-ray at A&E. We were informed that a 2nd x-ray 3-4 days later would reveal more). So, with facial surgery to come (next week all being well) we’ll have to “think pink” and keep Jude happy! See you soon I hope! X

      • Jude says:

Thanks so much Gabi – all should be fine hopefully. Big hugs and hope all is very well with you XxX

        • Gabi co says:

I love the fact you keep up the good spirit!!! πŸ˜‰ All will be fine after this week and you will pull up the DIVA from the above pictures in no time, I’m sure πŸ˜‰

I’m all good, thank you, looking forward for the next 2 weeks to finish so I can start relaxing a little, hope to meet J for a good chatty evening and think only about artsy stuff for a while.

          Hugs and kisses!!!
