After a great night out with Dr Sketchy’s entertainment in Gent, I was raring to capture Gent in the glorious sunshine!

And what a place Gent is. The contrast of dark and light, history and the moment of today, the emerging youthful scenes and artistic expressions flowing through galleries, bars, canalsides and amongst the people. Tourists are many here in Gent, and its easy to understand when Gent makes it so easy to be loved 🙂

I first came here in 1997 to see the Six Days of Gent bike racing, and I loved it then. I saw a few more of the races over the years and these memories are fresh in mind.
