One of my favourite things these days is to spend time with people. The importance of this becomes much clearer as we continue to live on this delightful planet!  Well, for me it does anyway!

So, at the weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with friends I have known for some time now, our shared common bond being that we arrived in Brussels at the same time circa 2008. This weekend, the celebration was the birthday of one special guy from Metz in France and we headed there to share the snow, the beers and the yummy quiche lorraine of Metz!

Moody Metz

Metz has a fantastic cathedral with outstanding glass art and stained glass windows, as well as a nice sultry centre-ville to wander about alongside the moody Moselle waters. As a huge fan of quiche, there are plenty of artisanal bakeries offering such tasty morsels. And obviously for lunch, one must enjoy crêpes with a glass of poiré!

Brussels posse hits Metz… very cold!

J, a smile hides the -2 degrees!
